Professional Associations – Institute for Archaeologists

Home/Blog/Professional Associations – Institute for Archaeologists

I have recently gained MIFA (Member) status with the Institute for Archaeologists. This is the highest grade attainable, for more information visit their website www.archaeologists.net. I hope this will provide reassurance for clients as to the standards and practice which I follow when completing work. It is also an indication of my level of knowledge and experience in archaeology.

I am also a member of BABAO (British Association of Biological Anthropologists and Osteoarchaeologists) which is a non-graded organisation with membership open to anyone with an interest in the subject. It provides a platform for discussion relating to human remains and access to the latest research at the yearly conference. It provides guidance and recommendations for those working with remains, which I adhere to fully.
